You should also know that when it comes to film/tv adaptations of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's stories about the great detective, nothing even comes remotely close to those done by Granada Television Productions for the BBC. From 1984 to 1994 they produced 36 hour-long television episodes and 5 full-length films starring the perfectly cast and utterly brilliant Jeremy Brett as Sherlock Holmes, and David Burke, then Edward Hardwicke as Watson...Spanning 12 DVDs, the complete collection is a cornerstone of my media library...
