In 1996 Haines did the Baader Meinhof album, disappeared for three years, then returned in 1999 with a new band, Black Box Recorder...Since 2003 he's been performing and recording under his own name...

Anyways, this is a video from his first band, The Auteurs, and their 1992 debut album, New Wave...The song is called "Showgirl", and it's a very good tune.
